Wow! I was surprised to see the email you sent saying Jose Jack & Jim was going to be the song of the day. And it made my day start off great. Thank you for taking the time to listen and thank you for the nice accolade. The song was a fun one all the way through. I was blessed to have great musicians in studio with me and a great producer as well. The song will be available for purchase on October 3. Again thanks for making my day a little bit sweeter than it would have been.
Regards,
Wes
I wanted a bit more out of this song. It seemed to be going for a Jeff Lynn type of sound with the vox FX, but lacked the dynamics of an ELO production. From the beginning I was thinking maybe there was some hope of it turning into a power ballad a la Asia, but the power never quite materialized. The Harrison style slide lead did not work for me.
Sorry, I don’t know how my other comments got here. But now that I have heard your song, I must say that it is a good example of Southern Country Rock. The arrangement really suited the song. I thought the lead guitar could have been brought out a bit in the mix. I am sure this song is a real crowd pleaser.
Do you have the right song? I think you may have mixed my song, “Jose, Jack, & Jim” up with another……

Hey no problem…… I am not the smartest guy around but I knew you couldn’t have thought it was a power ballad.:-). Thanks for the kind words…… and it is a very fun song to do…. especially around two a.m. LOL
